Fire Extinguisher Service
- Annual Extinguisher Recertification - In accordance with Florida State Statutes 633, NFPA 10 and the Authority Having Jurisdiction, all fire extinguishers must be certified annually by a Florida state certified company.
- Extinguisher Recharges / 6 yr maintenance - In accordance with Florida Statutes 633, NFPA 10 and the Authority Having Jurisdiction, all fire extinguisher must be recharged by a Florida state certified company according to the manufacture specifications.
- Hydrostatic Testing of Extinguishers - In accordance with Florida Statutes 633, NFPA 10 and the Authority Having Jurisdiction, all fire extinguisher must be hydrotested by a Florida state certified company according to the manufacture specifications and DOT Code of Federal Regulations.
Types of Fire Extinguishers
- Dry Chemical Extinguishers (ABC, BC, Purple K) - Most common type of fire extinguisher. For use on wood, cloth, paper, rubber, plastic, flammable liquids, combustible liquids, petroleum greases, tars, oils, oil based paints, solvents, lacquers, alcohol, flammable gases, and electrical fires.
- Dry Powder Extinguishers (Class D Metal) - For use on combustible metals such as magnesium, titanium, zirconium, sodium, lithium, and potassium fires.
- CO2 Extinguishers - For use on flammable liquids and electrical fires.
- Clean Agent Extinguishers - For use in server rooms, electrical and delicate equipment. Agent is highly effective for extinguishing fires and evaporates after use, leaving no residue nor damaging other equipment.
- Wet Chemical Extinguishers (AFFF, FFFP, Class K) - For use on cooking oil and other flammable liquids.
- Water Extinguishers (water mist, water type, loaded stream)- Water mist extinguishers are used for wood, paper, rubber, plastic and electrical equipment. Water type and loaded stream are used on class A fires (wood, paper, rubber, and plastic).
